"Valerie" celebrates the spirit of Womanhood.
She exists in singleness and in marriage, in motherhood and in childlessness.
She calls attention to the judgment and shame people face for their sexuality.
She stands for reproductive justice and control over her body.
She believes that access to reproductive health education, care, and services is a human right.
She supports inclusivity, equality, and looks after those around her.
And she does NOT stand alone.
As I continue to create art this year with an unplanned theme of women's health and reproductive justice, stay tuned for more work in this series I'm calling "Girls, Girls, Girls!" - a tongue in cheek nod to sexual exploitation, gender discrimination, and standing up for reproductive rights.
